*Ceramic tutorial*

One of the most requested tutorials for me to make has been showing the process of making my ceramics. This is a project I've been working on for a long time and I'm so excited to finally be able to share it with you.

This tutorial has been made to act like a 'beginner's guide' for anyone who is interested in making ceramics in miniature but don't know where to start, and would not be considered 'entertaining' - there's a lot of talking, and not a lot of 'action'. I do not consider myself a professional ceramist - but this video series will include all the information that is (in my opinion) needed to get started.

The tutorial consists of 4 parts:  

- Tools & materials. Pretty much 21 minutes of constant talking. I am showing you the tools and materials needed to throw miniature ceramics on a wheel including my kiln, glazes etc.

- Throwing. Approx 12 minutes of demo/explanation of how to throw miniature plates and bowls on the potter's wheel.  

- Finishing. Approx 11.5 minutes. This part goes through how to finish up the pieces that have come off the wheel, underglazing, bisque firing, glazing and glaze firing.  

- Lustres, glaze swatched and troubleshooting. Approx 13.5minutes. this part shows the simple process of using lustres, talks about a common glaze problem which I was affected by for a long time (and how I solved it) and shows some of my favorite glazes and what they look like on my mini ceramics  

I will be showing you how to make basic bowls and plates/dishes. This tutorial is not for making pie dishes, ramekins etc. - the are things I may make a future, smaller tutorial for.
